About Me — Tingyu Zhang
Motto. Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud and one the stars.
I am Tingyu Zhang (张听雨), a Master’s student in Computer Science at Northeastern University Seattle (4.0 GPA), with a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from Southern University of Science and Technology. My work sits at the intersection of machine learning research and engineering.
I published research on reinforcement learning with entropy optimization at ICLR 2026 and co-authored an arXiv preprint on multi-armed bandits. My research interests include machine learning system development, reinforcement learning and optimization fine tuning, GenAI and LLM-based agents.
I am currently based in the United States, open to research collaborations and industry opportunities in machine learning, perception, and autonomous systems.
